HISTORY OF THE PLACE
Hidden island in the heart of downtown Győr
Snack Udvar opened its doors in 2025 in the inner courtyard of a historic downtown building. We created it to be an urban sanctuary amidst the city bustle, where the closeness of nature and bourgeois tranquility meet. The jewel of the courtyard is an imposing, large-canopied tobacco tree: its shade and microclimate provide the atmosphere that makes it worth dropping by.
A memorable moment of our first year was the Christmas selection set up in the LED-lit, arched gateway, complete with mulled wine and hot chocolate. In the summer, we await you with a refreshing selection of ice cream. We won't stop here: we are upgrading our kitchen technology background for new snack types and raising the comfort level of the garden terrace as well. However, one thing we will definitely preserve: the original, patina-rich atmosphere of the courtyard.
